Hello everyone! 

Our names are Marina Bianconi and Gabriele Basei. We are two designers who frequently collaborate. We carefully worked on every aspect of this book: the research, the texts, the illustrations, and the graphic design. In 2014 we founded Epoca, our design studio. With Epoca we are involved in many different projects that have one common denominator: our love of nature. We hold a special connection to Lake Como, an environment we have been lovingly frequenting for years. Through our work, we try to convey respect for the environment and its wild inhabitants. 

Epoca’s projects are crafted in Italy by artisans with whom we share free creativity and the ethic of “made with care.”
